First hot spell of 2026 before Google increased security on June 1 st and later, Pushingbox's rebuild. Missed the record-breaking heatwave in July.
August 2026.
Sitting down to find out what happened to the temperature logger that broke during the hottest, driest year on record.
Checked the usual suspects in mid-June when the issue was discovered. Not straightforward this time. Google is cranking up security. Needs further investigation, but busy.
On top of this, PushingBox has had a complete rewrite (After the problem was noticed). This may introduce a second set of problems.
Took a look at PushingBox. Rewritten with added features, including Google Forms integration. - The way to go! I've lashed up a PushingBox-to-Form-to-sheet that works. Expanding to 3 weeks instead of 2.
September. 2026.
Another sit-down. Created a chart showing rolling temperature and published it to the site.
We still need to configure the daily temperature logger to pull data from this new sheet each night; it may only require cell formula tweaks. Worst case, careful editing of the copy-over function. At the moment. The 3-week window is not fully populated yet, and the logger scrapes only the last 24 hours of that 21-day window.
